Summer is winding down

Cappy loves BBQs and his new little brother Bug loves his summer clothes. This is one of those posts that need very few words when we have pictures to tell the whole story.

Lounging..

It has been a LONG LONG month for the humans and pets in this house. Again we are super happy that we are able to work from home and hang with the dogs on a regular basis, but it also means that we have to work twice as hard to make money to support our work from home lifestyle. Obviously we also work our dogs very hard, I mean, look at those pictures!

Anyways, we spent the month working indoors on the business which means that when we did go out with the dogs we had to make it super specia. Every week or so we would take them and make it so that they were so tired they couldn’t even think about wanting to run around. The first trip we did was to the dog park. It seems that Cappy isn’t as excited about the dog park as he used to be. It might be because he is getting older, or maybe he just decided he already has a puppy friend at home now so he’s happy. Either way, the dog park doesn’t seem to get him tired like it used to. Now we have taken to either going for a job with them or taking them to the supply ponds. These pictures below were taken after a 2 hour hike at the supply ponds. What was about 5 miles round trip was probably three times more for the dogs because they would bolt ahead of us, then run back, and bolt ahead.. The supply ponds, however, is one of the best off leash dog parks on the planet. Its not fenced and is more just a hiking train than anything, but so many people bring their dogs there that it’s not unusual to come across a pack of 10 or so dogs and their owners. Both puppies did great off leash and we got them nice and tired. Next time we go I will bring the video camera because you all just have to see the giant smiles on their faces as they run back and forth, its hilarious and cute.

I’m back, and with a new little friend.

I am proud to announce a new member of the Power Nubby foundation named BUG!! Well, his name was originally Diego, but he just seems to respond to bug so that’s what we’ve been calling him. He is a chihuahua that was in need of a new home because his owner could no longer care from him. We met with him two weeks ago and went to see if the owner liked us and Diego liked Cappy. It was a perfect meeting because Diego and Cappy actually seemed to not really care about each other, and if you have dogs, you know that is the ideal situation. When they like each other too much, you end up with rambunctious dogs and usually little squabbles. They seemed to like each other just enough. They played, then went separate ways to sniff, then played again and the best part is, at the end of playing, they cuddle together.

So i’m sure you are all skipping by all these stupid words and are just waiting for the pictures.. So without further adieu, BUG (aka Diego)

Cappy is happy about BBQ season

It was a beautiful day in Westfield, Mass and Cappy was in heaven. Lots of kids to play with and tons of food hitting the ground to pick up.

Cappy’s Cameo’s

I put together a little video of me and two of my friends riding at our trails and as I was wrapping it up I found some really great clips that Cappy was in. It’s a few minutes of bike riding but hang in there for Cappys cameo.

The dogs are happy

The weather has finally turned and the dogs couldn’t be happier. Captain Peg-Leg, Lindsay and I showed up to an empty dog park at just after 5pm but little did we know in less then an hour there would be 20+ dogs romping around.

Dusting off the Cappy

After a winter of product photography and graphic design I decided to whip out my photography equipment and brush the dust off my skills. What better subject than Cappy and his kitty? You can just smell him thinking can’t you.

Hey guys.. we put cappy in another photo contest!

MVP Pet Photo Contest sponsored by BISSELL, maker of pet vacuum cleaners. We put Cappy in yet another cute dog contest. Now, I have found that lots of these cute dog contests are rigged and that people hack in the votes to hopefully win. Well, I am hoping this one is not like that, and I’m pretty sure it’s not because the winner doesn’t actually win any money. Instead they get to choose the charity of their choice for the proceeds to go to. Of coarse, we would like to donate the proceeds to a local cause – DAWS. We got Cappy from the Danbury Animal Welfare society almost two years ago to the day! Actually, he came home with us February 15th 2008. I will never forget that day because it was the day after Valentine’s Day AND three days after I had surgery on my leg and I was really scared about having a puppy and being post surgery. Luckily, Cappy was a rock star of a pup and super easy.

Anyways, as a Valentine’s Day / Happy Birthday Cappy present, I would love it if you would vote for Cappy in the contest! You can vote DAILY so please vote as many times as you can, once per day as often as possible.

This is the picture we submitted

So get hopping and VOTE NOW.. then bookmark the page and vote as often as you can!

A super Happy Merry X-mas!

Just a quick post in the midst of things to wish you all a super happy merry x-mas from Cappy and all his little kitty friends. This is last year’s christmas card, but unfortunately this year we have been so busy that there was not a lot of time to create a new one. We do hope to have photo shoots for every holiday eventually though.

So far, this christmas has been a lot of fun for Cappy. He got to hang out with his best puppy friend Suzie. Suzie is my mom’s dog and she’s a little nutty. She just about bounced off of every wall in the house when we walked into the house with Cappy, she really loves Cappy. The two of them were cute together, running through the house and playing and wrestling. Then they got the Christmas presents from my cousin and family (spoiled dogs!) and they kinda knocked themselves out of the floor.

Tomorrow is when Christmas really starts. Shuffling ourselves from house to house, Cappy in tow.. So HAPPY MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
