Cappy’s on his way to being a star!
We just got back from the taping of Cappy’s segment that is going to be featured on the Channel 12 News station on a show called “Pet Talk”. Pet Talk is a show that airs every weekend that is, you guessed it, based around pets and animals. The host, Lauren Collier, is an avid dog lover and lover of all animals. I had sent an email to Channel 12 about Cappy’s Power Nubby Foundation and his little life story (you can read it here).
It was definitely exciting to be sitting inside of a TV studio, and Cappy was probably equally as excited as we were. W
hen we walked into the building we received a very warm welcome from everyone there. It was almost as if Cappy knew exactly where to go. He pulled us right in the direction of the filming studio and was such a good boy that I almost had to question if this was our dog! We walked in and took Cappy off his leash and let him sniff around a little. I know that whenever we go somewhere new, the first thing that Cappy needs to do is go into whatever “backroom” there might be and check it out. He went behind the set and sniffed and then within a few minutes he felt comfortable and made himself at home on their couch.
Cappy has recently been having some butt problems (anal glands) and I was really nervous that he would spend the whole interview licking his butt, but thankfully he didn’t. The interview was really nice and they gave us an opportunity to get the message out about puppy mills, rescuing and our organization for helping handicapped pets. Unfortunately we were in such a rush that we didn’t get a chance to take pictures in the studio, but we have something better – a video! Obviously the video is not ready yet, but we can’t wait to get it and post it for all to see! Oh, and the reason we were rushing is because I somehow thought the taping was Monday and not Sunday – I mean, who works on Sunday?! In the mean time, I here is the video that Matt and I shot before going – its a great video of Cappy running with his new Nubby Protector!
