About Cappy's Power Nubby
This blog was started to help raise funds for Cappy and other handicapped pets.
To start, we need to raise money to purchase a custom created silicon sleeve for Cappy’s nubby. Cappy is missing his front right paw, but he has the leg. He was taken from a puppy mill breeder who was shut down due to bad breeding practices and other neglect charges. If you have a dog, just look as his/her front leg and imagine it without the entire paw (including the ankle). It is literally a peg, as you can see in this picture:

There is a human prosthetic company who is willing to work with us in making a custom fitted silicon sleeve that will have a shock absorbing pad on the bottom that will keep the shock from traveling up his leg to his shoulder. If we do not get this for him, he could have severe long term issues with his front shoulders.
This is a new blog, but as soon as I can, I will be posting a letter from Cappy’s vet along with references which you can contact to confirm that this is 100% for real. I know that people are skeptical about personal charity causes on the internet, so I will do everything possible to make everyone feel comfortable with this.
We are also working with the prosthetic company in order for people to make direct donations into Cappy’s account with them. When I have the information, I will post it as SOON as possible. In the meantime, you can donate through ChipIn.com (see the widget on the side there) and you can track the amount that we collect and see how close we are to the goal.
